“I first came to Dene’s studio in the summer of 2018. Knowing how much I love to draw and paint, my brother and sister-in-law bought me a gift certificate for painting lessons with Dene for my birthday. I had no idea what to expect when I first walked through the studio doors...I stepped inside and was immediately surrounded by the most beautiful awe-inspiring works of art, and I felt like I was home. I couldn’t wait to begin painting with Dene, and I remember my first lesson like it was yesterday. Dene was so patient and kind to me, guiding me through the various painting techniques and taking special care to ensure that I had a thorough understanding of the building blocks that make up a great painting. I felt at ease and was delighted to be surrounded by a number of talented artists in a relaxing, friendly and peaceful atmosphere. I have nothing but the utmost respect for all that Dene has accomplished throughout his illustrious career and I look forward to developing my artistic ability with him by my side, for many more years to come.
