Best Western Dorchester Hotel

The staff here were excellent, and the water was literally steps away from the door. I didn't wind up with the greatest room, due to the busy season, but my experience here was 100% positive. I'll return here for Xmas to visit my parents again. I really enjoyed my visit here from Montreal, and this hotel enhanced an excellent trip. Thanks BW, good job.

A very Great Best Western! It was so Clean everywhere in this hotel! The Staff was great! The breakfast was so good! We drove 10 hours that day and I needed to do some laundry and they have guest washers and dryers and even gave me tide so I didn't have to run out and grab any! The bed was the best bed I slept in in a long time! We will be bringing our kids back and will be staying here again!!

Pros:
Right next to the harbour and beautiful views.
Free parking but fills up after 5pm
Nice walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Everything seemed to be fresh. sheets, towels etc.

Cons:
Terrible smell in the lobby every day that I stayed there. Like body odour.
Weird bugs in the room. NOT bed bugs but some kind of beetle.
Slow elevator.

Parking was too small as it could be used by non-guests, but they allowed us to park past checkout.

Older building so the shower was squeaky and the water temperature kept fluctuating when used at lower temperatures, but fine for higher. The room we stayed at was a bit slanted which made the bathroom door difficult to use, but was relatively clean. AC above the doorway was dripping a bit the morning after from the condensation(?) but otherwise the temperature in the room was good.

Staff was friendly and helpful.
