Absolutely great! Online and over the phone. They go out of their way to help you!
Fantastic place for parts for our JDM Delica!
Hands-down the most reliable, honest, and skilled shop, especially with Delicas. I had sent my deli up to the shop and had it booked in to get the engine swapped out. Before commencing any work, beyond the inspection, they called to let me know that there was structural rust that would cost a few thousand dollars to take care of. They could have just assumed that I knew that, and carried on with the work, billing me as we agreed, and leaving me to deal with the rust. Instead, these people took the time to call me and explain the situation, and ensure whether I wanted to go through with it or not. In the end, I didn't get the work done on the vehicle. Even though it would have been in their best interest to carry on and assume that I knew, they gracefully allowed me to step back from our agreement, leaving me with a fair and insignificant fee for their time spent looking at it. The work would have easily been up to $7000, yet, in my interest, they took the most honest approach. When I was deciding how I wanted to get rid of the delica, they offered some suggestions and help, and allowed me the time to make sure I was making the right choice. These people truly have their hearts in the right place, which seems more and more rare among automotive shops these days.
By any means, if shops in Victoria claim that they do work on Delicas, please skip the hassle and ridiculous expense. Drive it up to CCA if you can. Even if you need to get it towed up, in the end, you'll likely pay less because they have lower shop rates, VERY competent mechanics, and the right parts. I had my deli inspected at a shop in Victoria before I purchased, yet, they didn't catch the structural rust. The shop manager claimed that they don't know these machines like CCA does, and it surely shows. You can either bring your delica to CCA to get worked on, or, have another shop work on it, and then bring it to CCA once you've realized that the other shop is incompetent.
CCA has always been the best place for parts when I am servicing customer's cars. The staff always goes out of their way to help me find parts and has made servicing imported vehicles in the US much less of a headache. Can't recommend them enough.
