“Amazing food, view and service! This was our first visit to this picturesque spot in Deep Bay. We both had the seafood club (gluten free for me) and it has definitely entered into our top three sandwiches of all time. Halibut and lobster in the same sandwich with yummy local bacon, happy hour drink specials and an unbeatable view overlooking the marina with mountains in the background. The staff was friendly and we appreciated that the patio tables had umbrellas to shield from the heat. We’ll definitely be back! 🙌”

“Can't say enough about this down to earth, courteous and talkative Kevin guy. We so enjoyed our day excursion with him. So affable and friendly you would think he got his talent from being a Disney tour guide! Here's the captain, in all his splendor!!”

“I cycled from Vancouver to Cortes Island and back, and I camped at Deep Bay RV park in both directions. This RV park is bike-packer friendly. The owners were welcoming and the views of the ocean are stunning. The hot showers and community kitchen were also a welcomed surprise. I slept peacefully both nights, which is key when bike packing. Some reviews here complain about a lack of privacy, but I found the long-term members friendly, welcoming, and respectful of privacy. I would choose a place like Deep Bay RV over any provincial campground.”

“I want to thank the deep bay first responders so much for their help on Monday Thanksgiving day. I did not really pay attention to whom exactly came to my house, but was comforting to know you were there. I had a bunch of fresh made tarts for the dept, but the power went out so assumed your meeting would be cancelled. I want to drop some fresh ones off next monday night to your meeting if that would be ok. Tkx so much you are all greatly appreciated by the neighbourhood. Karen Latiff ps would like to reach the ambulance service and drop off the same to them but cant get a response from knocking at their door. If you know a phone number maybe you could let them know why I am banging on their door!!! tkx.”

“Our stay at this B & B was fantastic to say the least..The views from the room and the back deck are breathtaking...we seen many eagles flying overhead along with many other birds but it was the view of the ocean and chrome Island that we will remember. The room was immaculate with stunning Linens and the most comfortable bed..The room itself had everything we needed and more. Breakfast was fantastic each morning and served to us in the sun room looking at the ocean. The menu had lots to offer and the food was excellent cooked by our hostess Tammy who was an absolute delight with her cheerful uplifting personality. Tammy also directed us to many great spots on the island as we had never been there before and we will be sure to come back as soon as possible. We give this B & B five stars as there was nothing more we could have asked for on our trip to the island. Lori Burns”

“I went to this school for two years. (Grade 5 and 6) Honestly in the beginning I thought it was great but the longer I was there, the worst it got. A lot of the teachers over share their personal lives and I understand that sometimes that builds a good connection with students but there’s a line that was crossed a few times. I’m not sure if the current secretary, councillor and librarian are still the same people that were there when I was, but they were extremely helpful. The principals were also super nice. I guess your experience at the school differs from person to person, but I found a lot of the people extremely toxic and the teachers (most of the time) didn’t pay enough attention to their students.”

“We hiked the trails but didn't do the guided tours. The switchbacks help, and the trails are well maintained, but you definitely need stamina and 'climbing legs'. There are nice educational signs along the way that you can use to rest without looking lazy or out of shape ("Hey kids, let's read these signs and learn about caves!"). The road is gravel and full of potholes, so it's an adventure to get here, but the remoteness has probably helped keep things less damaged from the worst tourists...”

“Super peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The lake is pristine. The campground seems a very nice one. It is a dry campground which means other than only one faucet in front of the office/store there is no access to water whatsoever. There are only pit toilets available. Kayak and canoe rentals are available. The staff are friendly.”
