Great place for walking your dog off leash.
I'm so glad we stopped en route to our destination to do this hike. When you can only hear the sounds of nature it's a wonderful thing.
Nice walk! Lots of native plants, history, and it's peaceful.
This lovely place is hidden gem. Not only is it a historic mining site from the late 1800's It offers a beautiful walking trail. Approx 15 min walk through old growth massive maple and Cedar trees, and your at the beautiful Nanaimo River. Lots of parking. And as of now they are restoring the actual mining site. So drop by and see this wonderful place
A unique step back in time to see Vancouver Islands last remaining coal mine standing structure. The historic park is set in a nice forest setting where you are able to witness nature take back this once booming industrial location. Nature trails circle the park and also a large trail system trailhead is located here. A nice way to spend a Saturday or Sunday
