Mike Gogo's is a Nanaimo institution, the place where families come to choose and cut their Christmas tree. This time of year it's a fun place. Visitors are handed a saw at the entrance and directed to the acres of trees. Really puts you in the Christmas spirit.

Mike Gogo's Cedar products is a great place for finished and rough cut lumber. He has practically any size in stock and if it isn't he will custom cut the order in a very short time! I just called them and realized I had miscounted and needed a few more boards and he said they will be cut and waiting for me Monday morning. WOW. No one else would do that for you! We hadn't been to the mill site in a couple of years but Mike and Karen still remembered us. So friendly and helpful even though we only bought a few fence boards and were not a big commercial buyer.

They took the time to offer advice even though they are always so busy. We ended up getting Fir Lumber instead of Cedar because it is much less expensive and still really durable. Much stronger as well. I can't say enough nice things about our experience. An honest, hard working, family run business that still holds to the old fashioned attitudes and values. Pleasant to talk to and a great sense of humour as well!
