“UPDATE (June 13, 2021): Judith, the manager, did reach out to me and we spoke about my experience. She expressed concern and wanted to make the situation right and encouraged me to come back again. I did go pick up some baseboards yesterday and had great customer service from the 4 people that helped me with my order. I appreciate Judith reaching out to me to rectify the situation, and I will return for future home improvement purchases. It was nice to be listened to! It appears customer service has not changed since Ettie James' review two months ago (or in the 2 years that I have been going to Central Builders). I went in to purchase some baseboards today. It was a rainy and quiet Sunday afternoon. I found baseboards I was interested in, but none of them had any prices on them so I went to the "help" desk. There was no one else being served. The man behind the desk had not acknowledged my existence when I walked in, nor did he come to offer myself or my 72 year old mother any assistance. His back was to me when I asked for help getting a price and he did not turn around, simply kept working on his computer and told me "give me a minute". He then asked which baseboard I wanted a price on. There are only SKU #s, which I didn't know off the top of my head, so I said "it's over here", which perhaps was the wrong answer? He had to walk down the aisle to where the baseboards were, got the SKU, and advised me of the price per square. I asked if I could get it written down to which he did not respond, and turned back to the computer. I stood there for a long few moments and was unsure if he was simply done with me, so after a while I asked if I could borrow a pen. Turns out he was printing out the price and SKU# for me, which he then simply handed to me, saying nothing. Not asking if I wanted any other help, any other prices, wishing me a good day, thanking me for coming in: nothing. I have attempted to shop here on numerous occasions, and this will be the last time. I like to try and spend my money locally, but the service today was shockingly abysmal (my mother, who witnessed the whole thing) agreed. I cannot express my level of dissatisfaction enough, and will be picking up my baseboards from Home Depot this week.”
