Shorewater Resort

Great facilities and beach location. I stayed on the lower level for direct beach access. Unfortunately, you hear walking above and the floors above my suite creaked with the footsteps. It would not have been good with a young family above. I would stay again, but on an upper level.

This place is magic! Quiet. Walk straight out to the beach. Clean and well equipped rooms. We worked here remotely for a week. Wifi strength was unreal. Highly recommend. We will be back. Management were friendly. 11/10

Communication - amazing. From making our reservation, just before arrival, and during our stay. Both Angela and Stephanie were friendly and so helpful. If they were not available in person ( cleaning other units and on their days off!) , they responded right away by phone or text.
Room - we booked an upper floor unit with 2 beds (sofa & murphy, both very comfortable) on the main floor and bed in the loft. It was a perfect size for my family of 5 (14, 18 & 20 yo). We really appreciated the attention to detail including the privacy curtains in the loft. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, utensils, cooking utensils, pots & pans. They kept the units very clean and the furniture and appliances were in great condition. Shorewater Resort is definitely a home away from home - but better because of the amazing views of the mountains/ocean and easy access to the beach. Amazing views of sunrise and sunsets.
Location - perfect. Qualicum Beach is a short drive (45min) from the Nanaimo ferry dock. There is so much to do a short drive away including Parksville/Rathtrevor Provincial Park, Coombs Old Market. We also did a day trip to Tofino (kids surfed, had amazing food at Tacofino food truck and Shed restaurant).
This was our first time visiting BC and the Island.
We highly recommend this hidden gem! We will definitely be back at Shorewater Resort!

Clean, safe and great location on beach. They upgraded suite with no additional cost, certainly don't get that most places. Highly recommend. Enjoyed stay, unfortunately it was only one day.
