“We hired Carmana to conduct renovations to our 20-year old house, specifically the kitchen and both the ensuite and main bathrooms. Carmana principals Paul and Jillian did all the design work for the main bathroom based on our wants and needs, and they helped select materials and finishes for the whole project, confirming our own ideas and finishing choices, but also steering us gently towards what would look and function best if we were "not quite there yet". The decision-making took a matter of a few short hours. Procurement of a few items and the construction itself were delayed briefly due to the Covid-19 situation, but everything ran substantially to schedule. The project was completed within what we thought was a very reasonable time considering its complexity. The quality of the finished work is outstanding, and we could not be happier with the results! We feel we received excellent value for the money we spent, though the project was not inexpensive. The house looks and feels up-to-date, and it all works beautifully. Importantly, we found Paul and his crews and subcontractors not only technically excellent but also eminently easy to deal with, honest, straightforward, reliable, tidy, and clean. We never had anything to clean up after the crew had finished their day's work. They always showed up on time, when they said they would, and went about their work as quietly as possible. They were also extremely understanding of--and always accommodated--our need for predictability, so that we could run our lives with minimal negative impact from the construction. In summary, we have absolutely no qualms about giving our highest possible recommendation to Carmana for projects of this kind and scope.
