“Dont let the lack of photos online deter you from staying here. We almost over looked it for that reason; so glad we came! Its the perfect location to everything and the town has all one could need. Deb who manages the property is incredible and she has this place in immaculate condition. Phyllis in the office is on top of everything. You could eat off the laundry room floor its so clean here. The men who take care of the grounds; Randy and Denny do amazing work. Every tree and blade of grass are perfectly in place. Nice quiet location - you could hear a pin drop in here at 10pm. SO glad we came, no comparison to several other parks we drove through in the area. Secure gates that are locked nightly are a nice touch too.”

“Exactly what you pay for. Clean rooms, comfy bed. AC worked, Wifi was so-so. But we only used the place to sleep and shower which was ideal for the price. Owners were very accommodating to our needs. We would stay here again if we needed a room in Oliver.”

“very good value. the motel was built in 1953 but the room we were in seemed to be quite recently renovated. and VERY well done including a nice little kitchen. all round excellent value. we called John directly instead of an online booking and that seemed to work out well for everyone. highly recommended!!”

Maple Leaf Motel Inn Towne

“Absolutely great place. It’s cozy, clean, and freshly renovated. I was pleasantly surprised how good my room was. The bathroom had everything a typical hotel would offer such as toiletries and towels. The bonus - it is very very reasonably priced. Flow, the receptionist (I might’ve misspelt her name, my apologies), was so amazingly friendly and welcoming. Thank you Flow for the warm reception. Overall, it is a charming place I would highly recommend to everyone.”

“When I was a kid in the 70s we came here as a family for 2 weeks. Sine that time I'm more into ocean front however my wife and I came to stay here in a rented van conversion. There is no better place to come with young kids. No power boats. The campground is quiet from 11pm to 8am. Very community like and... It makes you completely forget about Covid.”

Pool has crystal clear water, very well maintained, beautiful garden and deck. Everything was spotless !”

Glaikit Gecko

Address: 540 Merlot Ave, Oliver, BC V0H 1T4, Canada

Lodging

“This was our second time staying at Glaikit Gekko vacation suite and I am sure we'll be back again. Julia and Alex are amazing hosts, they travel a lot staying in various Airbnbs so they know exactly what a vacation suite should look like. At Glaikit Gekko you'll find all you need, and if something is missing Julia will do her best to get it for you. The suite itself has air conditioner and laundry and is new, stylish and extremely clean. I am picky when it comes to cleanliness, but I was impressed by how clean it is and how Julia follows all cleaning guidelines in this Covid time. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, waffle maker and more. The breakfast includes freshly baked bread, muffins and cookies, eggs, cheese, milk and cream, granola, fruit and veggies which Julia grows in her garden and generosly shares with guest. The bed is very comfy with nice mattress, luxury linen and plenty of pillows to choose from. It's quiet and very close to a nice beach, and you will have beach chairs too! All in all, I can't recommend Glaikit Gekko enough and hope to be back again next year. Thank you Alex and Julia!”

“This place really is lovely. Our daughter stayed for 5 nights before her rental was available. I was a very nervous mother, looking for safe accommodations for my young daughter. I spoke with Dwight and knew it was the right place for her. She loved it! Dwight and his wife treated her like family. Her accommodations were more than we expected. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend Adobe Rose to my friends and family.”

“It’s my first time spending the winter in Canada sense I retired 6 years ago. Because of COVID, I’m not able to travel to the USA this year (2020), so I needed to find a spot in B.C. to get away from the Alberta cold. I found a spot at Apple Beach in Oliver. What a find?. (Don’t believe the bad reviews from some of the posts about the park. I 100% RV now and trust me, I’ve see bad Parks, and this is definitely not one of them). 1) The owners of the park are very nice and very helpful (Gary & Marilyn). 2) washrooms and laundry mat are always clean. 3) Gary makes a walk around the park several times a day to make sure everyone is following the rules and to take care of any issues that may come up. 4) A lot of the people that are staying over for the winter here have been coming back from 10 to 15 years now. I would say about 95% of them are from Albert. There you have it. A lot more to say, put I may run out of room. ? Stay safe, but don’t forget to enjoy life. Non of us know how long we have here. God bless.”

“We were excited about our camping trip to the south Okanagan to get away from the people in the city, unwind , relax this place was peaceful at first but within 4 hours we had a visitor from the park she was very talkative and greeted us with her cat, that was walked daily. We learned a lot about her, she felt comfortable ( I guess )to tell us her life story.. She seemed nice and we listened, the next day there she is again her and her cat then again..... She told us more then we needed to know .We all have life’s, but this one liked to talk and seemed lonely. On day 4 we had heard enough and decided best not to come out of our RV trying to escape another uninvited visit. A funny thing I have to mention is she walks her cat on a leash daily but at night when we would go out to enjoy the quite, look at the stars there would be the cat on our step or under the picnic table. Not sure but during the day animals have to be in a leash but at night no I guess not. This RV park is nice we were disappointed in the disturbance of our privacy.. I will give it three stars I would have gave it more but what we experienced on our getaway of wanting peacefulness it wasn’t very private.”

Uncorked Bed & Breakfast

“Great place to stay and the hosts made for an even more enjoyable experience! Met at a nearby winery where she works for a tasting to pick up the key (highly recommended doing this if you have the option). She was happy to provide lots of local tips! Amazing breakfast including fresh fruit salad. We stayed in the Poolside room which was nice. Would try the Garden room next time as it is more private.”
