Sand Dollar Log Cabin

The location is outstanding, right on the beach.

This beautiful log cabin is located right on Gilles bay and is a wonderful location for sunsets, beach walking, paddleboarding, and swimming. The general store is a 10 minute walk. The owners are organized and great to deal with. The cabin itself is very charming and clean. There are modern kitchen amenities, a cozy wood stove, loft and a large deck with a hot tub overlooking the ocean. The small beach cabin lower on the beach was great for older children. We had lots of fun hiking, biking, berry picking, exploring the island, visiting a farm and the farmer's market. We look forward to our next trip to the Sand Dollar Log Cabin.

This quaint little cabin was the perfect escape for us to unwind and unplug. There's so much to do on Texada! After hours of exploring the beaches, fishing, mountain biking and hiking, coming home to the Sand Dollar log cabin was the best part of each amazing day. The beds are comfy, the wood stove was easy to start and warmed the place up quickly, and the hot tub on the porch overlooking the water was a coveted morning and evening ritual. We were there for thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything we needed to make a proper meal. We plan to make this littler retreat an annual event, at least!

What a gem! We stayed here for not only our honeymoon in 2010 but came back to ring in our 10 year anniversary in 2020! This immaculate cabin has all the rustic charm, gorgeous ocean and beach views whether having a glass of wine on the deck or in the hot tub in the evening! The hosts are amazing to work with and made our stay incredibly comfortable. Thank you Janice and team for helping us create more wonderful memories for our 10 year anniversary!

This place is amazing. My family and I enjoyed our little vacation here so much we plan on coming back in the near future! Gorgeous location!
