“Very charming, clean, and comfortable cotttage. Great for groups. Fantastic patio for drinks, dinners, and ocean views (even in October)! Path / stairs to the beautiful beaches of Savary just steps away. Val & Doug were excellent hosts who made us feel right at home.”

“Stayed at Collin’s Savary Castle for a month this spring. It is a serious adventure. A place to be remembered by young & old. Leave the city behind and dig in to the off-grid lifestyle that is found on Savary Island. The Castle steps this up by providing all of the comforts of home - if you don’t mind staying in a Dr. Seuss house. It is a rustic cabin with more than one twist - if you have OCD - this is not the place for you. A very fun and unique experience that we will talk about for a long time!”

“Savary Island Resort is an absolute gem! I recently visited this hidden paradise and left feeling truly inspired. The whole island is one big sand bar making the beaches some of the most incredible in the gulf islands! The communal areas are very well thought out.. you will certainly spend a good amount of time in the stunning kitchen making epic meals and memories for your group ! you can quickly scoot down the hill to mermaid beach to take in the sunsets and forage for oysters when the tide pulls out. Oh and the Sauna !!! I'd go back just for that.”

“We absolutely adored our stay here. Our hosts were warm, helpful, and put a lot of care into making our experience great. The tent was spacious and exactly as advertised. I loved the treelined walkway, the clean and cute bathroom with the composting toilet, and of course... that kitchen with the view! Absolutely divine. To the people who have left less than positive reviews: you know you booked a canvas tent on an off grid island, right? Stay at the best western next time if that's the kind of experience you're after. If you're looking for a rustic and comfortable stay in a great location with locals who genuinely care about your experience: book here! Thank you for providing dog-friendly, affordable, and cozy accommodation, Lois and friends :)”

“Beautiful location off Lund harbour. Peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful hosts Gordon and Maryanne! Cute little shops and places to eat while staying at the Inn. Price includes breakfast and short 2 minute boat ride to the harbour in Lund. Also lots of different fun things to do if you're looking for something to do.”

“Great stop off on our way to Desolation Sound. Fun little boardwalk with Nancy’s Bakery and fresh crepes on Wednesdays by Nico To, since the restaurant is closed. Super delish. Beautiful views and the weather was amazing. We’re here for a night and then moving on to the next location.”

“The campsite is an rustic piece of heaven. Pascal is a great host and a local guide. We have stayed in both the campsite and the cabins. Both are wonderfully rustic. The cabin had gas stove and generator powered lights. Like the island you come here to unplug and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.”

“Not generally a review poster - but I had to take the extra time to say how impressed I was by all the extra effort Todd, the owner/host put in to making our stay perfect. First of all - beautiful views from the suite. And it’s only a short walk down to south beach and over to the taxi terminal. Getting to Savary is a bit of a journey but once there, Todd made it so easy - he picks you up from the dock in his spacious truck that held (all 5) of our belongings and food with lots space to spare. It’s a steep hill up from the water taxi so even though it’s close, a ride is definitely appreciated. The suites all have amazing views (patio views) and have comfortable beds. Were all very clean and comfortable. The bbq and patio was an awesome spot for dinner in the evening. He gives a great detailed history of the island and knows all the interesting spots to check out. He owns several bikes, kayaks - although only available on special request. Overall, very impressed and appreciate great hospitality. Very relaxing, hassle free, and was well worth our price and time to get there.”

“I recently ( May 2023) had the pleasure of visiting the RV Campground and must say that it exceeded my expectations in every possible way. From the moment I arrived until the minute I left, the experience was simply fantastic. First and foremost, the campground itself was immaculately maintained. The grounds were well-manicured, with lush green spaces and neatly trimmed trees. The RV sites were large, level, and offered a good amount of privacy with well-defined boundaries. Each site had a picnic table and a fire pit, allowing for cozy evenings by the campfire. The amenities at the campground were top-notch. The restroom and shower facilities were clean and well-stocked at all times. The availability of hot water was never an issue, and I appreciate that they were conveniently located throughout the campground. Additionally, the laundry facilities were an unexpected surprise and made our stay even more convenient. The campground staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From the moment we checked in, they were welcoming and provided us with all the necessary information about the facilities, activities, and local attractions. They were always available to answer questions or offer suggestions, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable and hassle-free. Another impressive aspect was the location of the campground. Set amidst picturesque natural surroundings, it offered stunning views and a serene ambiance that were perfect for relaxation. The peace and tranquility of the campground allowed me to reconnect with nature, unwind, and recharge. Local boat marina just few meters away from the campground. Overall, my experience at the RV Campground was truly incredible. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable camping experience. From the well-maintained grounds and excellent amenities to the friendly staff and range of activities, everything was more than I could have wished for. I am already planning my next visit and cannot wait to return to this exceptional RV campground.”

“We had the pleasure of staying at Paula and Marius' beautiful beach house at the start of June. They were the most kind, accommodating and generous hosts. Their place is the perfect stay in the Sunshine Coast - right on the sea, beautiful views, and close to great hikes and kayaking. We even had the pleasure of seeing a pod of dolphins swimming in the sea whilst having dinner on the balcony one evening! Their suite is so comfortable and clean, and Paula's garden is a sight to behold. I only hope I can visit again soon!”

“What a unique experience! It's like staying at a museum. The lobby reminded me of a western movie with the double staircase and all of the natural wood finishes. The owner was extremely personable and went out of his way to ensure our contentment. Thanks Charlie.”

“This place was an absolute delight. We've already recommended it to others and will definitely be coming back. The brewery (especially their outdoor area) and the Indian restaurant (both within 1 block) were great too. Definitely eat at the onsite restaurant for breakfast! It was the best free breakfast I've had, and the service was amazing.”

“Absolutely loved our stay here! Small campground, with large sites. Very quiet and clean. Owners are super friendly and helpful, with lots of knowledge of the area to provide information on where to go or what to do. Beautiful drive away from the hustle of in town. Will definitely be going back.”

“I stayed here while I was in town for a wedding. The gardens are gorgeous and the cottages are very cute, however two of my aunts fell while walking through the gardens to get to their rooms and injured their ankles and hips. The driveway is also quite steep. It may not be the best place to stay for those who have mobility issues as you do need to walk over uneven surfaces.”

“Wow! The best little hostel I've been to. Rooms are spare (as in all hostels), but up to date and clean. Bathrooms likewise, but with really nice rain showerheads as well. The common room is cozy, quirky, and cute. Edwin (the owner/manager) is amazing. Super friendly and a really interesting guy if you get chatting. An easy 5 stars.”

“Had a great time at Willingdon Beach. It has full amenities plus more! They provide showers, laundry and a large sink to clean dishes located at one main bathroom. Would definitely go back but next time would prefer closer to the beach. There's also a burger, chicken finger & fries stand, decent sized park for the kids, water park, ice cream and mini golf across the street as well. Definitely great spot for camping or day use for the whole family. Would highly recommend checking out.”

“This is an old school motel that has been recently renovated. It has every feature we wanted and more. The price is right, and it couldn't be more centrally located. Very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and the owner was extremely kind. It has that motel charm that comes from decades of layered paint. It lacks the corporate sheen and polished delivery which, to its benefit, makes this feel familiar instead of impersonal.”

“Probably the best option in Powell River if you want to be in the centre of town. We had an ocean view King room but true ocean view is on the top floor suites only. We saw the ocean from our room but we also overlooked garbage dumpsters out back next to the parking lot plus heard a lound vent every morning. Carpet in room looks worn with stains. Pillows are super flat. Asked front desk for firmer pillows but they didn't appear. No front desk service outside of 9am-6pm. No amenities outside the spa. We were out hiking or kayaking most days so this hotel was fine to crash at night - it's very average and feels more like a motel.”

“We rented a trailer with Lahey Rentals and had a wonderful time. We paid to have the trailer delivered and set up and this was very convenient. The trailer was clean and well kept, although it could have used a few more bowls :) Overall a positive experience and I would rent again. Powell river is so beautiful and a wonderful place to visit.”

“It's my favorite place to stay in Powell River. I have stayed here three times, and the apartments are always super clean. The location is a little bit further from town, but they have a grocery store downstairs. The staff are very friendly at the store. Highly recommended!”
