Assisted living establishment . New building. Well set up. From what I know rates are competitive . Nice rooms from what I've seen. Will be visiting a tenant so more later.
Wonderful place. amazing staff caring understanding
This is my third experience living in a seniors retirements home in Canada. It is, by far, the best experience I have had in all three! Excellent management, with professional skills, caring and kind friendly staff, a great menu with a wide variety of healthy nutritious foods. Reasonable priced! A great place to live! I highly recommend Costal Breeze!
This building is less then a year old, but has already been a bright spot for Powell River. I have lived here almost my whole life, and an independent living facility was very much needed.
The staff are trained in various departments, and it shows when they work as a team to complete tasks that are required to be done on a daily basis. The fact that pets are allowed is also a bright spot, I find that those who have animals have a very hard time finding a place to live and this is a welcome sight to see. Though as always with a new building there will always be hiccups, but the staff do the best they can to overcome them as soon as possible.
I look forward to seeing what changes this facility will bring, and when Covid allows more activities within the community.
Even though we are independent and very strong, we moved here for the life style. We enjoyed the exercise room and pool table during winter's rough weather, now we use the miles of wonderful trails within walking distance of home. Next winter, Covid permitting, we are looking forward to joining group activities. Brian thinks the highlight of the whole building is the wonderful shop.
Our biggest adjustment is realizing that we are now part of a community where we have to coincide others customs and habits. Everyone has a lifetime of likes and dislikes often making it hard to compromise! That being said, we have enjoyed most of the meals here.
Every endeavor that is started has its "hiccups" - these were increased due to Covid-19 but the staff kept us safe and comfortable during our settling in. There are still some problems like a poorly designed hot water system and noise control, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
