I would probably have at least 3 more layers of bags under my eyes (in addition to the existing 2) if it weren’t for Denise’s supportive and informed guidance when it comes to sleep for my two littles.

Our youngest is now 11 months, so we’re right in the midst of the "Penelope" stage — separation anxiety! I can relate to almost all the elements listed on MIMC for the 6-18mo stage (babe learning object permanence, schedules, nap transitions, night weaning, etc.), amongst the challenges we've actually found incredibly positive and effective strategies that have increased the amount of zzz’s happening in our house. We put both our boys down at the same time every evening, in a dark room, with a short bedtime routine, in a familiar environment. It sometimes feels too good to be true!

But don’t get me wrong, we definitely haven’t got it all figured out — these babes manage to change their sleep habits almost as soon as I think they might be settled, so I will continue to find myself back online navigating the resources and cheat sheets on MIMC at 3am… probably for the next few years. So grateful to have a fellow mama to help me along this journey!

My baby, who was typically very easy-going, all of the sudden didn’t want anything to do with strangers. He had changed and was crankier and more difficult to settle to sleep, until sleep became increasingly difficult. I was exhausted. With the biggest changes on the horizon; going back to work, and worried that my baby needed to fit into a nap mold in a new sleeping environment, I started slipping into some bad habits.

Mostly due to an overwhelming amount of information online, seemingly strict methods found in many sleep training books (making it so they can set themselves apart from all the others), and not having support near me -oh and my dear partner away for work - I needed help. Denise came in with a well-researched interpretation of our sleep issues based on some very clear milestones and stages. We had some separation issues and I just needed to change my approach. It felt like the more natural and supportive solutions that I could easily understand made all the difference. Denise and Penelope allowed me to reconnect and assess the needs of my little anxiety baby. I needed to tune back into my child and recognize some key factors, understanding what he needed most.

I loved the simple approach and the ability to tailor to my baby’s needs.

We loved Denise’s approach to sleep consulting. Rather than sleep training, we were offered different tips and tools to help our almost 4yr old adjust her schedule. Within 2 days we saw results. Our daughter is more rested, and as a result everyone including her is happier. We can’t thank Denise enough.

My husband and I had the privilege of meeting with Denise to discuss sleep strategies for our newborn and preschooler. Denise is lovely to speak with, professional, empathetic, compassionate and extremely educated both academically and with her own life experience raising two children.
