“My fiancé and I stayed at Tyax with several friends during our engagement weekend over the Canada Day long weekend. Staff (especially Bayley) were wonderful and took great care of us. Our group had a beautiful dinner all together which went smoothly and tasted great! (Though we would love to see the famous crispy chicken sandwich back on the menu). The property is stunning and they offer free kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals to see the lake and there are lots of trails nearby to explore. We are looking forward to future trips here and are excited to look into having our wedding at Tyax.”

“Once in your life .... you have to be there to do your experience in the wilderness of Canada. This experience was Heliskiing and this lodge is the base. Excellent organization, superb kitchen and food, nice wellness area with external whirlpool (I loved it)..a place to totally relax..be careful, this place can be addictive :-)”

“Great location, drive to the place is really amazing Stayed in this place with a group. Booking was done by one of our group members. There were water issues and the toilet upstairs in the cabin (the one with 3 bedrooms and kitchen) was not working. The toilet downstairs was also not clean and not completely functional. They allowed us to use the honeymoon cabin next to us and toilet and washrooms were good there. I understand that it's difficult to get cleaners there, but a little more care in the cabin can make it a great place. Horse ride was a amazing.”

“What a wonderful spot! Our family visited in July 2018. There is a small gift shop building, open air tent to pan for gold, Mr Halymore's home (not safe to wake inside) at a great near-river site. Check the hours because they have limited hours (may be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday). Another reviewer commented negatively on being asked to leave after spending days using (abusing) the free wifi. Pro tip: it's a heritage site and gift shop, not a public library.”

“It is a must when travelling through Bralorne. Stopped by On the Fly market when I was visiting the ghost town. The store has many varieties of products on the shelves including typical snacks, drinks, candies to souvenir Bralorne printed T shirts, mugs etc. There is a pub attached to it, unfortunately I showed up when it was closed.”

“We lucked out again ! We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and the pub is only open Thursday through Sunday. The last time we were here was the last night the pub was open as they were closing (alas). The food is still great the beer is cold and tasty and the ambiance is like a big living room with a lot of friendly people that you don’t yet know. Sally and Bruce are truly in their element here. Attached to the pub is a very nice small scale grocery store with lots of delicious home made foods. A genuine pleasure to be here again.”

“We booked the Bralorne lodge for a sled-assist ski tour trip with a group of 8 friends for 4 days. There were a lot of logistics to make the trip happen and the operator was amazing in setting everything up. He helped us rent snowmobiles and hire an incredible ACMG Guide to make sure the adventure stayed as safe as possible. The drive up from Whistler was breathtaking and the location is really worth the journey. The lodge was beautiful and every detail was really well thought out. Big common areas to gather and have fun and great, quiet bedrooms to rest after long days of adventure. We snowmobiled from the front door and could reach great ski terrain within only half an hour. There are so many mountains to explore and no-one out there to compete with for fresh tracks. Will be back next year, and the year after, and the year after...”
