hotel situated conveniently on the main road. access to everything nearby. decent views. The rooms are huge but outdated. our room also had a mini kitchen but we didn't use it. to checkin, there is no reception, and we had to check in at the liquor store next door. nice little town and overall pleasant experience.
One overnight stay.
Room with mountains and Fraser River views in the distance.
It gets quiet after 10pm or a bit later, otherwise the road below has some traffic.
Got a basic room, no microwave oven, no coffee, just the double bed and the TV, which was a bit larger than a computer monitor, connected to Shaw cable box.
Tried the TV channels lineup, mostly older shows and lots of commercials, that helped me to fall asleep as it was not keeping my Mind awake.
The place is very clean. Cameras are installed where are needed, it gave me the mental comfort that my car is parked in a safe spot. The town has lots of friendly citizens, I realized that while shopping.
Minor work is needed due to the age of the building. Noted that the plastic decor flowers are not full of dust, also I dropped some peanuts on the carpet and while I cleaned up, I couldn't see dust hidden away from the vacuum cleaner.
The clerk assisting from the next door was very polite on the phone and in person, she displayed a welcoming attitude.
The mattress was too hard for my adventure sore back, but for 85cad per night, was better than sleeping in my car at sub zero temperature.
Lillooet is a welcoming town located in a rugged area, it is worth spending some time visiting Seton Lake, the spectacular HWY99 corridor, few cozy stores in town, witness traditional salmon fishing and drying, Eagles fishing, salmon spawning channel, then you could head to Carpenter or Gun lakes or Gold Bridge and Bralorne to explore the old gold mining areas.
