Heriot Bay Inn

I came over for an event the Legion was hosting, and they put us up in the Heriot Bay Inn. The cabins were absolutely adorable, great location. Wonderful place to stay! Sparky was an absolute delight when he came to check us out!

Beautiful spot. Staff are wonderful. Lovely bar too. The only complaint is the mattresses - seriously need to be upgraded. No one in our party had a good sleep. Old and stiff. Would highly recommend visiting though.

End of season, so quite short staffed. The food was OK, not what we wefe hoping for, but the service kind of sucked. Made a reservation for an outside table, called to confirm said outside table, and ended up sitting at the door way to inside. Wasps were awful and they had done nothing to help elevate them, and as food was all over the deck, the wasps had a better time than we did. Oh, and did I mention it was our 25th wedding anniversary? Not much of a celebration 😕 I've had a better meal there in the past. Bad timing 😪

We came here for lunch - 4 moms and 4 kids. The staff were friendly and accommodating - they had crayons and colouring paper; a cute cat and gift shop. I recommend the rock cod tacos instead of the fish and chips; and chicken strips meal from the kids menu. Also, good job on the gin smash 👍🏻
If you can get a patio seat, the view is beautiful and romantic.

Waitress was so sweet. Food could not be beat. Fish tacos were incredible. Couldn’t believe the very cheap shabby pop up shelters with no sides…. no respite from the very hot sun for supper hour. I would hope the owners could do better for us non drinkers if their dining room isn’t open. Why would the pub be indoors all cool and comfy and the rest of us as young families get a head ache as we bake at our table? Will come again at an earlier time of day because the food and service were so great
