Top service, stunning views and good food. Pasta was sublime. A little dissapointed by the focaccia which and was quite dry, but all in all a brilliant choice for dinner.
Service and menu was top notch our table of 10 was well taken care of
I should start on the highest note; the pizza Margherita was simply outstanding. I would (and will) go back for it. The beef carpaccio was very good, although one receives precious little beef for the steep price. As for the rest, if the owners read this, I hope they take into account the fact that I've cooked professionally and I have a deep passion for genuine Italian cuisine. Note to the manager: if your doors are open, then put your jacket on, and don't wait for the place to get busier. Note to the manager and serving staff: I took my daughter there for her 19th birthday (December 28), and part of the ritual was her ordering her first drink in a restaurant. She was carded (properly, of course), but in a really top-notch place, a server would have noticed that it was her birthday, and they would have made a little fuss about it - something extra, something memorable. The bruschetta was mediocre at best - far too busy and complicated, and, alas, very bland. (What is wrong with simply cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, and salt?) The crostini were overcooked and in fact crunchy (not crispy, but crunchy hard). I reached for the salt shaker, but, given that this is supposed to be a classier place, I understood why salt and pepper are not available on the tables. Therefore, the chef needs a reality check on that starter. The Sunday Sauce (called "Sunday Gravy" almost everywhere else in the world), was a big disappointment. The texture on the meatballs was far too fine because the mixture had been overworked (perhaps in a food processor?), and they needed bolder flavours. The sauce, although better than a jar of Hunt's Ragu, needs a major overhaul. So the next time I go back, if I see any positive changes, then this will become a regular stop for me.
Second time visiting and it was even more amazing than the first! Did the family style spread and a few allergies I had were missed on the group booking - they were so kind to accommodate them last minute - seriously thank you!! GF pasta option is so tasty my friends couldn’t believe it was missing the gluten! Family style menu was exceptionally tasty and so much food, we definitely had lunch leftover for the next day. Their room for private parties is also stunning... don’t miss this place.
