We attended a late summer wedding here, absolutely amazing. The owners made sure every aspect was taken care of, in my books - went far above all expectations. I highly recommend this place for any life celebration. There is also local catering at The Bridge Lake Store that will rival any large chain provider and help you keep the focus at your event. Their beef tenderloin is second to none.
Beautiful location. But it seems like the owners don't actually want people there. Most campers I talked to agreed, talking to the owners (to pay, buy things at the store) makes you feel like you are highly unwanted. Plus the dogs that they have bark constantly because they want to play with everyone. There are 7 of them......
This place has barely changed in the near 30 years since my family took us there as kids, and I hope it never does. The cabins are the real deal definition of rustic, and not in the fake marketing speak kind of way. This ain't no fancy glamping setup, but that's what makes it so awesome and affordable. That being said every cabin is absolutely spotless clean and pest free, despite showing their age in a charming way. The bathroom building could use a little work but is perfectly acceptable. The grounds and landscaping are immaculate, there's a playground for the kids, plenty of firewood to go around, and there's enough privacy despite being a bit of a communal setup. Some cabins have their own dock, and there is a big dock at the boat launch for everyone else.
The lake is good for swimming and awesome for fishing, but leave the seadoos and wake boat at home. Eagan is a quiet fishing lake with strict noise and speed limits and pwcs are banned, so it's not the place for wild watersports (although nearby boneaparte lake makes a good spot for that). But if you're into lake fishing or just a slow cruise on a pontoon, it's the perfect spot.
A hidden gem in the caribou! Owners Jill and Shaun know what they’re doing for sure. Grounds, wash house and cabins immaculate. We stayed in cabin 7, right on the lake. The only sounds we heard were the lake and the nature around us. Just what we needed to unplug and relax for the week. Will definitely be back next year!
Second time back, and Eagan Lake Resort does not disappoint! Beautiful grounds, washrooms are kept exceptionally clean, the lake is great for swimming or fishing! The owners, Jill & Shaun are super friendly and helpful! Absolutely I’ll be going back!
