Rustic cabins right on the water.a dock for each cabin. Tremendous rainbow trout fishing.

Bruce the owner is kind and very helpful guy. He will go out of his way to make you comfortable and has the most up to date fish info! You won't be disappointed! Not to mention 1 of the best smokers out there!!!!

This year was our first experience staying at this resort, and we absolutely love it! And will be back, this is our new spot at Hihium Lake for hopefully generations to come. The host was amazing, the cabins are so cute and clean, the shoreline is perfect for kids to play along, a very positive atmosphere. The running water in the cabins is so convenient for doing dishes. This is a very peaceful place and well run. Our family has been going to Hihium for generations which we had been staying at another lodge on the lake all that time which has not been run professionally for some time now, so we moved our business elsewhere, can't wait to make new memories at this special spot. Thank you Lori and Kristy.

We are getting ready for our trip this summer! We missed one year due to the fires and we pretty devastated about that! Cried the whole time I was unpacking! But last year was fabulous. We absolutely love the quaint cabins and the fishing is always great. The Ladowski's are wonderful hosts and we are glad they made it through the fire situation and their house and cabins were saved. Look forward to getting up there again for many years to come.

Our group of four went to Hi-Huim Lake Resort for the first time this year. The resort is a secluded area of BC, about two hour drive off the main Hwy. 1 outside of Cache Creek. The gravel road was in poor shape, thus the slow drive. Once there, the resort is rustic cabins on the side of a pretty lake. Mountains on all sides, but unfortunately, due to the fires last year, no longer pretty. Mother Nature will fix that in time. Mosquitoes were terrible, must have had a hatch. Unfortunately, they were also in the cabin. Don’t know how they kept coming in but made for a uncomfortable time in the cabin. Cabin was clean and comfortable enough, but was tired. Needed a screen door on main patio door. Toilet seat was barely on. Only one propane light in the main room which didn’t give much light. No other lanterns in any of the bed rooms so if you didn’t bring your own flashlights or lanterns, it was quite dark. Kitchen is well outfitted with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Water is drinkable. The warf was outside the cabin, and boats could be moored there. We brought our own boat, which was really too big for the lake. Ken was concerned that it would damage the boat launch. When we booked the trip, we were told the boat was ok to bring. Fishing was great. Lots of fish to catch. If you are looking for a place to catch fish, this is the lake! The hosts were very good and tried to cater to everyone’s needs. Good people. We had a good time despite the mosquitoes! They have wifi, which we found a pleasant surprise, but they charged us $10 on the bill without tell us. They also didn’t tell us there was a $40 boat launch fee. They need to outline their costs clearly. In the end, the fishing was great and we enjoyed our time there.
