Just went on a day trip with family. From 4 years old to 69. Everyone had a great time, there really was something for everyone. Lots of history to learn, all the hosts there were very informative and entertaining from the blacksmith to the Inkeeper, stagecoach driver and everyone involved in each exhibit. The gold panning was especially fun for all ages. Highly recommend this for all ages, a good way to spend a day.
Stayed at the family cabins and had a lovely experience. Such a great price for what you get and a great place to stop along the way to the interior.
I did however find the service sub par in comparison to over the years. Paid $70 for the family admission and didn't get a tour at the road house as we had in the past. They kind of sat around and wouldn't interact unless prompted. Another couple walked in about half way through walking ourselves through the house and seemed a bit annoyed and asked the people to give them a tour, and the employees didn't seem all too enthusiastic.
That being said, the interpretive first nations set up across from the road house was fabulous. They were very keen to show and educate us on everything there. If the house had their level of enthusiasm and interaction I would have given 5 stars
They also didn't have the stage coach going when we arrived (and it was a cool day not more than 23 degrees and breezy) the next morning the horses were never hooked up either. I feel the website was a bit misleading and led to disappointment in regards with what to expect would be included in admission price
This was such a great find!!
We stayed in a covered wagon. Our bunks were comfy, the property was beautiful, and the staff were great!
They clearly take a lot of pride in their property! It is very well maintained and taken care of.
Thanks for this beautiful memory!!
Best Ranch so far i ever visited. Authentic houses, logcabins and sheds. Beautiful historic atmosphere and a window too the past of the cariboo-road. All of the staff were very polite and helpful. You could ask them all about the past of the ranch and the people who used to live there. A great experience for young and old. Very recommended.
