(July 6, 2023, 2:12 am)I was the PFO of this park for more than a few years. I love it. I raised my kids there and in Tweedmuir. And Green Lake here and there. And Lac LA Hache but Big Bar was home.

(August 2, 2022, 4:42 am)Big bar lake is definitely a friendly family place. During late summer water is quite warm. Lots of wild life and fishing can be good! If you are camping with travel trailer you can get your water at the campsite from taps. Nice beaches for a swim!
Lots of mosquitoes, but we were successful keeping them away with bug repellent! -

(July 27, 2022, 5:39 am)Overall I would give this place 4 stars. The area is well maintained, very clean, clear clean waters, great viewing for wildlife and beautiful scenery of the lake. The staff were extremely friendly and even offered to let us move campsites to a more shady area.
The cons were the bugs. No matter how much bug spray they were inescapable.
Overall, it would be great if you had a fishing boat and brought plenty of bug spray. It would be a great fishing location.
