We stopped in on our way through town. It was a pleasant park and I really enjoyed what they are doing for the injured wildlife. The park is well laid out and we had minimal issues seeing all the animal enclosures. The only enclosure that could benefit from accessibility upgrading would be the camel. Walking through the playground on gravel can be problematic for individuals with mobility issues.
Always enjoy our visits there. Things are always changing and the park is looking good. Love the kids play area and water park. The water stations were a new thing we noticed and liked.
Each time we're there, we're liking the changes.
Love that the park hosts a variety of rescued animals. It looks as though they really do try to provide a nice living space for the animals although some of the spaces did look a little sparse. Would have been nice to take a tour so maybe we could have learned more about the animals and their respective situations. It was very hot out so we spent a decent amount of time in the "Birds of Prey" exhibit which was very "cool" both literally and figuratively.
Love the place, it is a great spot for a family to spend some time.
The grizzly bears are by far the best entertainment most days, besides the amazing miniature train (fully volunteer run). They have made many nice upgrades to the park in recent years. We are lucky to have this in Kamloops.
I find some of the staff - particularly the front counter and store - to be so quiet and lacking interaction, that they come across as disliking their job and rude at times.
Felt that they did not have enough animals.
