(April 8, 2023, 9:13 pm)We are staying with friends on the outskirts of Merritt BC ..they brought us to the Hitch’n Post for dinner .. this is a local gathering place for neighbours and residents of the area who get together for some ‘social time’..a friendly atmosphere with welcoming owners Barb and Tony ..they served a ham
And scalloped potatoes for our dinner .. with lots of choices for dessert ..from pudding to pies and cheesecake..
If you are ever in the area be sure to stop by 👍👍 -

Locals come and go and love to make friendly conversation and the most welcoming feeling restaurant in a 100 mile circle.
Parking for trucks and trailers.
This is a place that you come to hungry and leave full. Suggestion for breakfast: the ultimate omelet, size and food quality are second to none. -

(September 8, 2019, 2:34 pm)We arrived at closing time and as we sat in the car wondering what to do next the owner popped out of the door wau and said I have 2 specials left. Sold! We had a wonderful meal and we will be back to check out their live music and buffet. Great location of the beaten track and good homestyle meals.
