We ordered take out for 15 guys and they did not disappoint. They reassured that there would be more than enough food, and there definitely was! Didn’t hear a single complaint in the room. The meal was delicious, hot, and ready for pick up at the correct time. During a time when dine in is not an option we were very happy with the take out results! Definitely will be ordering again.
Dine about Winnipeg is what brought me here. There was a lot of hype about the cheese wheel.
We did order the cheese wheel and it was good, but they do have other offerings that I thought were much better. Its a great instagrammable thing and worth trying once. (Some really like it, but this wasn't for me as much).
Pro Tip: order the gnocchi, this was the favorite of our table.
The pizza is a specific style of pizza as well. Mike was our server (he's also the owner/manager). The best part was having such a knowledgeable person serving us. We had lessons in food and history throughout the meal.
Sandra (Mike's wife) came by with more cheese to grate on our dishes. She was friendly and very generous, encouraging us to ask for however much we wanted and not to be shy.
They start you off with bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Its a good quality and you'll find yourself mopping it up.
The salad is very simple, but I really liked it. Nothing complicated, just a nice light dressing.
The cannoli is the other at the table thing they serve. They fill it when you order it so it hasn't been sitting there for who knows how long.
I preferred the tiramisu though out of the desserts we tried.
We had no complaints about the meal. The food isn't cheap, but the quality is there.
Parking is available on the side of the building. You can get there by going through the back alley. There is also parking on the side streets, but when we went, it was difficult finding parking out there. The owner of the building owns the lot, so if you are concerned, you can ask to make sure its fine to park there. They told us it was.
First of all thank you to Maria Francesca, Sandra, Mike and their daughter. The cooking class this past weekend was remarkable! Plus it was a lot of fun and the food was tremendous. It was like being around our family table with lots of good food, wine, stories and laughs. A day we will remember!
Second if you ever get a chance to go to Little Nana's Italian Kitchen , this is a MUST visit place not only for the fantastic Italian food but as well for the friendliness and atmosphere. This is truly a gem find for us.
Third, if you get a chance to attend one of their cooking classes/demonstrations, this is also a must. Maria Francesca shared some family secrets. The flavor of the dishes were unbelievable and something that we can make at home.
Grant and I have placed Little Nana's Italian Kitchen on our "go to" list for not only ourselves but for our family and friends. We know we will definitely be back.
What a lovely dining experience! The customer service was beyond excellent. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. Our favourites were the arancini and short ribs. We had to come back the following day because the restaurant was so busy. Now we understand why and it was worth the wait. We will absolutely be coming back!
Had an amazing time at this cozy place for our anniversary. The 3 course meal and the red wine were delicious and the service we received from the owners was so attentive and friendly! Large portions, very reasonably priced. You should definitely try this place!
