“I recently brought my Buick Enclave into here for a considerable amount of repairs (thousands of dollars). Everything fixed seems to be working so far and am reasonably happy with the amount of time it took to get my car back. However, during the repair process I was informed that my front pads and rotors were in need of replacing. I was quoted $640. An insane price, but its a dealer so... I say no and decide to do the relatively simple work myself and order the parts for $100. The parts arrive and I set to work! To discover that my rotors are in almost perfect condition. Now its on me that I ordered the new rotors. I should have checked them myself beforehand. But what if I had said okay to the repair? I would have been none the wiser and out all that money for nothing! The rotors didn't even need to be machined.”
