We had a wonderful time doing a float for the first time. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite, and the whole set-up with the shuttle worked really well. On the whole it seemed like they were flexible but still very well organized. Having bathrooms at both ends was very helpful. I was a little nervous that it might be on the long side for the young kids in our group, but it was fine! We brought snacks, watched for wildlife (we saw turtles and ducks), enjoyed the stunning natural setting, and enjoyed getting in and out of the family-sized floats to swim. Even getting unstuck from high spots/outcrops was fun and easy with the paddles they provided! Our float took under 2 hours but that was just the right length of time for us. At the end we checked out the suspension bridge, and that was fun, too. Great customer service (we rescheduled once) and worth the money and drive. Can't wait to come back next year.
One of the awesome location. I love enjoyed the nature. Good parking stalls are available. Now the problem is starting and exit point. Lets say if you have your own floating stuff. you are in group and have more than two vehicles then you can leave one vehicle at the starting point and one at the end point. But if you have one vehicle and own floating stuff that could be little issue. Another option is you can book all that stuff and have company guy pick you up from one point and you park your vehicle at another point. About the place too many rocks water is mixed shallow at some point but always be safe.
We went here for my brother’s birthday because I’ve been here before and enjoyed my time with friends so I figured my brother would enjoy it as well. We arrived with our dog, not knowing dogs are not allowed on their tubes due to issues in the past causing unfortunate situations for the company. They mentioned we would only be able to bring our dog if we had our own tube. We were then about to purchase one from a local grocery store in their town, however the owner(?) let us use one of his old ones. It may not be a crazy solution, but it definitely relieved us from either driving all the way back into the city or leaving our dog with the employees which we didn’t want to do either. It was very kind of them to let us use one of their old tubes for our dog when they really didn’t have to do that. And with having such patient and understanding staff for having to deal with our situation was definitely a bonus! Being a supervisor at my job, it definitely me feel even more grateful that someone could go out of their way for me and me feel comfortable being there. The whole process was also very organized. So thank you x100! Definitely recommending this activity and company to others way more than I already did!
We had a very-positive experience with Pinawa Channel Float and Paddle. There were four in our group and we all agreed that we would definitely return and would also recommend to others. The entire experience is well-organized and the staff are both friendly and positive. We appreciated Float and Paddle’s adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols in that they ensured everyone on the bus wore a mask and maintained physical distance. The float itself was fun and relaxing. There is no pressure to rush and there is the right blend of calm and moving water. There were many opportunities for shade, as well. We would not recommend it for those with significant mobility issues as the entrance and exit require one to be physically adept. Excellent for families with young children as there are multiple tube options. Some people take coolers and a sun umbrella with them. Take $10 CASH with you as the Local Government District (not Pinawa Channel Float and Paddle) has a tent at the road gate and charges $10 for parking. Have fun!
