“Well, it was definitely an experience we won't forget right away. Wasn't quite what we expected, but maybe our expectations were set too high. The place could definitely brush up on a few things. It's advertised as a petting zoo, but there wasn't alot of petting, mostly just explaining about the animals, etc. My 3yr old daughter was mostly enthused about it, she loves all animals, so therefore we could justify a few things. Safety isn't the highest priority, but they do what they can. We live on a farm, so the whole concept of being around animals in close quarters wasn't new to us. Would I recommend this place? Yes, if you're not used to interacting closely with farm animals”

The campsites were spacious and well-maintained, providing ample room for our group to set up comfortably. The highlight, of course, was the stunning beach area and crystal-clear water. It felt like paradise, and we spent hours swimming and sunbathing. Moreover, the walking paths in the park were a pleasant surprise. They offered a fantastic way to explore the natural beauty of the area while getting some exercise. The scenery along the paths was simply breathtaking, with lush vegetation and serene lake views. Overall, Manipogo Provincial Park is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and campers alike. I can't wait to return and enjoy more of its serene beauty and recreational opportunities. Hunt Lake Hiking Trail

Address: Trans-Canada Hwy, Whiteshell, MB R0E 2H0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Wow this trail was tough! I would consider myself a beginner/intermediate hiker, and would give this trail a 4/5 difficulty for its terrain. It’s very rocky, there are lot of trees roots, and there are a lot of steep inclines and declines. The signage on the way out is fine but is very confusing on the way back. I recommend going on a cool day with plenty of water and snacks. I definitely don’t recommend this hike for beginners. Overall this trail is incredibly beautiful and the challenge was worth it”

Swinging bridge

Address: 13079 B 345, Saint Malo, MB R0A 1T0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Trailhead of the Senkiw Bridge portion of the Crow Wing Trail. The Crow Wing Trail is long trail and this trailhead is just the start of a middle section of the trail. This section of trail starts about 8 km (via gravel road) from the town of Roseau River. Which is about 91kms from Winnipeg and takes about one hour and 15 minutes. We found that you could park on the side of the road and walk to the trailhead. Despite it being a beautiful day there were only a couple of cars. The trailhead has a portable toilet, which was clean, when we were there. Also they have a garbage can. There is a good sign that explains the route and it's history. The trail is well marked out and easy to travel. The bridge is a little tricky to get onto and getting across since hand rails are not the greatest.”
