“Sunshine Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping has done an excellent job throughout the time we have been in Winnipeg. Our first winter with them hit hard and they were here shoveling and scraping. They made a trench/trail for our dog out back from back door deck to where there used to be grass but was then an ice rink! Sunshine never skipped or came late, as soon as it was safe for them to come out they were here and they shoveled the entire front walk and steps. I heard from so many people that the company they hired for snow removal was iffy; they didn’t show up or came later, didn’t do the best job and cost more. It made me feel lucky to have found Sunshine. They are reliable and friendly, if I popped out and asked them to cut a shrub back or whatever, they did it and they were brave because during the summer my dog was out a few times when they came. Labrador 120 lbs of dogie barking at the fence gate as they were coming and not once did they run away screaming. They waited to see if someone would take him inside (we did) so they could get to their work. Sunshine did a great job with cutting grass, blowing the leaves and cleaning up shrubbery. They are a perfect choice for the hard winters of Winnipeg and the way too short summers. It was a lifesaver to us. Thanks Sunshine, we can’t recommend you enough!!”

“This company was great about sending me updates about my delivery. They notified me every time it left/arrived at a new post office, and they were just as great about letting me know when it had been delivered. I was really looking forward to this delivery so when I got the notification I practically ran to the door. Imagine my surprise when there was nothing there. I double and triple checked but nothing. I couldn’t believe it. Finally, I went back inside to call them up. I was heated. I thought they were the most incompetent, unprofessional delivery service I’ve ever had to deal with. I gave the customer service representative a piece of mind and when she finally got a word in edgewise she was able to confirm that I’d actually input the wrong address on my end when I placed the order. I was so certain of my own innocence that I immediately got on my computer to check. Sure enough, I’d somehow messed up the numbers of my own address. Their representative could not have been nicer. I was so ashamed of my behavior but she didn’t do anything to rub it in or make me feel worse (which I greatly appreciated). I realized that it was right next door at my neighbor’s house so I got off the phone and went to fetch it. As embarrassed as I was during the whole ordeal (and as embarrassing as it is to fess up to it all now) I think it’s important to share these stories online as well so that people feel more comfortable recognizing the ways in which they contribute to their own frustrations and I also want to commend this company for their excellent communication and for having such a kind and caring customer service representative on payroll.”
