“The day use area has a nice sand beach and plenty of picnic space with barbecue stands and tables. Parking is on the other side of the highway. Tbe beach is accessible by a pedestrian bridge. The beach is sandy and there is a sandbar out a ways, but you have to cross a sizable band of gravel and rocks at the water line to reach it, so water shoes are advised to us tender foots. The water was wonderful, clear and refreshing.”
