“This place is awesome. I didn’t even realize at first that it’s an old church. So I was very amused by the Holy Whale name and decor once my husband told me. The tables have original pews for chairs. My husband liked his beer. I don’t like beer but sampled the skittle one and I liked it! Just a heads up that they don’t really have food. Pretzels, pickled eggs and pickled sausages. But we weren’t there for food. Definitely worth a stop!”

“We had such an amazing time!!! There is so much fun to be had in this little shop. If your reading this you should go!! Darian is so great and there's so many options it's hard to choose just one!! Definitely a must see in the little town of Alma! Because let's face it... who doesn't want to be a Mermaid! 😍🧜♀️❤️”

“This is a great overlooked Par 35 9 hole course. It is an old Stanley Thompson design with an excellent layout! My only complaint (albeit small) is that the course could be a little better maintained, although I'm sure that there is a smaller number of staff as it isn't very well known. Defenitely worth checking out if you're a golfer in the area! Bring more balls than you think! It can be challenging.”

“Best lobster I’ve ever tasted. So fresh so sweet yet salty, so good! This is what it means to eat local when the lobster is caught that morning and eaten the same day. We chose our lobster from a large lineup of available already boiled lobster being kept on ice. Given a bucket and a lobster cracker thingy, and we went outside to the picnic table with a roll of paper tow and went at it. It’s messy but that’s how it should be. We also purchased the garlic butter which enhanced the sweetness of the lobster meat. Such a good meal. So worth the effort and messiness of cracking open your own lobster and sucking in all the natural juices and seawater. Yum!! (It was so good, we tried to go again the next day, but unfortunately an overnight lightening storm took out the power in the area.)”

“My family and I enjoyed an amazing meal after a day at Fundy National Park. Fish and chips, fantastic! Jerk chicken wings - so yummy. The Tipsy Burger was my husband’s choice and he devoured it - fresh, flavourful and hot! The view was beautiful and we loved it!”

“Perfectly comfortable and clean room. Ideal location being so close to the park. It's within quick walking distance to restaurants, the brewery, and the liquor store. It's also a quick 30-40 minute drive to the Hopewell Rocks.”

“We had a fantastic time here at the Tides Restaurant. Its located right in the center of the beautiful scenic Village of Alma. Our large group was well accommodated by great service from the waiting staff, the food was super fresh and delicious!!! Everything was so good were returned the next day to have some of the local beer that they have available. They have a large variety of local beers on tap and available in can/bottles so we ended up spending most of the afternoon here. We will definitely return very soon!!!”

“This was a great location for an overnight stay to explore the Alma area attractions. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room didn't have any Air Conditioning but in truth the cool ocean breeze from bay did a great job of cooling the room. As you can imagine there are some great seafood restaurants and if you aren't a fan I would definitely recommend the Octopus' garden which is short 4 min walk. Hotel guests live to sit and watch the lobster boats come and go and yes you can definitely experience the world's highest tides. Take a walk on the oceans floor. I would stay there again, as it was a positive experience.”

“Bright, clean B&B in the small village of Alma. We stayed in the off season and were in one of only two rooms booked. Picked up our room key at the convenience store/gas station next door that is run by the same owner. Being off season, there was little staff presence in the B&B but a staff member did greet us at the store, check us in, show us to our rooms and around the inn. We knew that if anything came up we could walk to the store, so were not bothered by the lack of staff in the actual inn. Breakfast is self-serve in a shared kitchen. Cereal and other basics were available and we were allowed to keep our own food in the fridge. If you are looking for a traditional served breakfast this place may not be for you, but we actually liked it because we're not super social in the morning. Alma itself is a nice little village. Close to attraction in the bay of fundy area and cool in it's own right - neat little bar/brewery that used to be a church and great restaurants.”
