“After a few months of regular shopping my initial excitement has disipated. While staff is always friendly I have been repeatedly disappointed by poor quality and selection of produce. On multiple occasions the garlic and onions I have purchased have been soft and have ended up in my garbage instead of on my plate. While there is a good selection of long life produce such as potatoes, cabbage and onions, the selection of fresh vegetables is extremely limited. Meat selection is a mixed bag. Good sausages but I have been disappointed by the selection of beef. The steaks are less desirable cuts and are cut very thin. Pizza is poor quality but cold cuts are well priced. Freezers are not operating after months of waiting. Overall this is a good spot for staples and dry goods. Eggs and milk seem of good quality. Staff is always friendly. I will continue to shop here and support local but compared to the amazing store we had in Hillsborough 6 years ago this is a disappointment. Support local. Hopefully they will sort out their logistics over time and get better prices, selection, and quality with community support.”

“Staying in Moncton and checked out the Hopewell Rocks, on a fam vacation of the Eastern Provinces. We saw this waffle ice cream place on the way back to the hotel. Just figured it would be some small overpriced tourist stop. Nope. 3.25 for a giant waffle cone ice cream (May '22). I thought it was going to be 7 bucks or something. It was huge. Then we found out this guy and his wife also make these really unique Waffle Sandwiches... Donair, Chicken Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Pizza, Grilled Cheese, etc. We ended up grabbing dinner (it took 15 min to eat these giant cones and they were quality so we talked ourselves into trying this unique dinner while we ate the cones). The Sandwiches are huge and around 10 bucks. While we were waiting these 5 local kids on bikes came by and grabbed some ice cram. While they were eating one said 'I like that guy. He's so nice '. It was a wholesome spot. Really nice place. The kids loved it. If you go to Hopewell Rocks, add this place to your itinerary. Cheers.”

“As promised we returned to this store to clear up matters mentioned below (in my first review of this store). We went in with what we believed was an expired bottle of maple syrup. After pleasant conversation it was explained how the date labeled was when the bottling had occurred. Such a relief and lesson learnt. When I showed the store keeper the expired date on the beer nuts he showed genuine surprise and concern. He let us know the expired products will be removed and returned our money spent on the beer nuts without haste. While in for this second visit both Pat and I picked through some more items to purchase. The only thing holding us back from purchasing more product was our self imposed spending limit. This time around both of us enjoyed some complimentary soft maple taffy on a stick. First time experience for me and I found it to be a delight. Just the right amount since it was extremely sweet to indulge in much more. Pat and I will make this a regular stop for the purchasing of fresh maple syrup in future. Splendid place for selecting gift items for our loved ones as well. Easily a top star rated establishment in our books. Discovered this store along a scenic drive through Hillsborough here in NB, Canada. They specialize in maple flavored products, as their name implies but also sell much more. Glancing down their driveway from the approach off the main road I noticed their lot was already full. I parked along the side of the road and my lovely wife Pat and I proceeded to walk down the hill. As it had snowed lightly I held tight to Pat's arm. Just as I asked her if she found it slippery, wouldn't you know it, her right foot slipped out as she replied "no". Fortunately her knees didn't hit the ground but did cause a bit of pain from the sudden jarring. Once entering their shop we were both pleased to browse through their extensive collection of items. Much to browse here. I picked out a package of beer nuts (been a while since having any). Pat chose sugar free black liquorice, maple syrup and cow chips (chocolate covered chips). As we paid we let the attendant know how slippery their driveway was. The fellow attendant thanked us for letting them know and immediately had their grounds keeper throw some salt down. As we started back along our careful walk up the hill, it was comforting to see the road being salted behind us. Safety should always be a priority and is always welcomed. Once home and dinner completed, i opened up the package of beer nuts. Imagine my surprise to see the expiration date had passed (date was under the label). It was labeled 22 Oc 04 while today's date is 22 Dec 10 (eek). Having a strong gut and built up anticipation I did consume the package of beer nuts. I can only imagine what a bag of fresh beer nuts might have tasted. Checking the expiry date on the liquorice I noted to Pat that it expires on the 28 of this month. Gives her 18 days of goodness before father time starts beating on it. Sadly the maple syrup expired 22 12 06 ( 4 days expired). As it was intended as a gift we plan on making the half trip back out to exchange. Sadly we could not find an expiration date on the cow chips. Lesson learnt: ALWAYS check the expiry date. I will follow up on the experience we receive upon making the half hour trip back to this shop. Would have been a perfect score if not for the expiration dates and the icy roadway. We believe there should be a well cleared path down from the roadway for those willing to brave the walk down (since parking lot was full). Before opening their doors any successful business should first ensure that there is nothing to encumber their consumer's pathway.”
