“The selection is great but not perfect for someone like me who looks for niche cuts like old Murakami or good translations of Zola. You can order those in though. The effort this store goes to to serve kids, book clubs and local media is really admirable. It's probably what puts them above most franchise names in the area. Finally, I appreciate indigo as a gift shop for my mom or sister. They're tuned into that target audience and cast a wide net of trinkets for you grab onto. Clean, friendly and cozy - it's just a good bookstore.”

“John is a very peculiar old man but extremely captivating if you give the chance for him to talk and give him your undivided attention. A wealth of knowledge and you can get an encyclopedia of facts within an hour. Captain John has a THOUSANDS of books within a million genres in great condition at even better prices. Went to buy some Steven King novels that were upwards of $25 per book online and scored two of them for $9 at Johns! Make sure to space out a full afternoon if you even want to even make a dent in the books that he has to offer and converse. An experience you will never forget and if you're into Johns conversation he will have you coming back time and time again. An absolute gem of a store and an extremely genuine person!”

“We went looking for the book shop, but it was closed so we stopped into the craft shop located in the barn. We were sad to hear that the book shop wasn’t going to be open the day we were in town. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We were ultimately heading to the Hopewell Rocks and she gave us a map and marked off a bunch of off the beaten track points of interest to do on our way. We are very grateful for this. We had a wonderful time. We plan to go back and hope to stay at her B&B. The craft shop is filled with many beautiful pieces. We highly recommend stopping by and checking it out.”
