The black bear restaurant is our favorite place to eat while we are in New Hampshire. Billy and all the staff make us feel so welcome and the prime rib is the best. ????
Great wait staff and food! Have enjoyed 2 visits here in past 4 days while visiting home town. Sat outside today????Very pleasant! Chef salad fresh and tasty. Thank-you!
Stopped here on our way to Pittsburgh! Soo glad we did. They were nice enough to allow us to bring our dog on the patio! And immediately brought her water. :) Came for a snack and couple of drinks. Had the smokey honey maple boneless chicken wings - WOW! They were amazing! Possibly the tastiest I have ever had. Had the mozzarella sticks and they were amazing too! All food choices were fantastic. Had a speciality cocktail which was a bit sweet for our taste. The waitress (I am so sorry I forgot her name - because she was fantastic)!! was nice enough to bring us an addition to add to the cocktail which made it perfect! Will definitely be back next time we are up that way!!
My boyfriend and I went here for lunch for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the great selection of items on the menu and salad bar. The food and service was excellent. Definitely will return!
This is a must-go; it's one of the friendliest places I've ever eaten. I went in with my wife, who has some dietary restrictions that aren't always met with a kind attitude. This place turned the kitchen upside down to make sure we had a good experience. The chef is a brilliant guy named James who came all the way out to our table to make sure that everything worked out. The staff is fantastic. Our server was genuinely enthusiastic about figuring out how to feed us properly. Don't be put off by the idea that this is a tavern. Black Bear goes way beyond expectations. A truly great experience. I'm in the area for a week, and will likely be eating here daily.
