Great meeting place to begin an Explore Buffalo Tour of the Old First Ward! Gorgeous day!

Perfect kayak launch to access the Buffalo inner canal. Kayak through elevator alley to Riverworks for a snack It’ll take about 20 minutes to get there. Along the way enjoy the silos and the smell of Lucky Charms! It’s about 2 miles to the Buffalo Lighthouse. Plenty of free street parking available at this site. Take a moment to view the historical signs throughout the park to learn about local history and if time allows stop in the small museum attached to the park

This is in my top 10 Kayak places. It is "urban kayaking". It's just really different. Less wildlife, more post-industrial waterfront. There's plenty of launches, but the Hamburg/Ohio Street park launch is a good start. No fee for launch or parking. Very busy, lots of kayaks. There's a bunch of rental places, too. Tall ships were here today. There's waterfront bars you could go to. Pretty cool. About two hours down to the lake and back. We finished up in the Old First Ward Brewing. Great day.

Nice spot for kayak launch ( no wet feet), which means on nice days parking is tough, and they do ticket, even though missing parking signage in spots
