Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens

I love plants so going there was like being in heaven. They give you a scavenger hunt paper so that you can look for plants while youre walking through, and the scavenger hunt changes monthly so that's cool. The staff were really nice. The whole thing was just so beautiful and they had such a huge verity of plants from a lot of places.

Very nice and well kept up. It was fun doing the scavenger hunt and playing checkers in house 9. Also the outside garden is a very nice place that you should not forget when going to the botanical gardens. Overall it's a very good place and a good way to spend an hour and a half.

The most beautiful ambiance for the plant/flower lover in you. Many special events throughout the year are offered for veiwing. Being a member gives you the first opportunity to purchase tickets to theses events. Also, you are given a chance to purchase plants for spring planting. I purchased many perennials this year and I am loving the beauty they have added to my garden.

I grew up across the street and it was a treat to come back. There was a wedding outdoors in a side garden and there is a lovely light filled room set up for small events inside. We've gone twice now in the last 18 months. This time they had some different exhibits, including bonsai plants. The conservatory has various ecosystem areas. Orchids were lovely. Some very imaginative Japanese arrangements with a koi pond, too. Nice area both inside and outdoors where kids can play and not wander off. One area has lovely photography by local artists as well. We enjoyed out first visit so much, we brought my daughter and son-in-law to see it this last time. She had only remembered sledding down the hill in the winter. We spent in excess of 90 minutes then bought a few gifts in from the tiny but interesting shop on the premises.

OH MY GOSH. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing these gardens are. We went to a lights exhibit that they had put up within the gardens. And yes, you had to pay, but it was really worth every penny. The Botanical Gardens are beautiful!! And to see it at night, lit up by the beautiful light exhibits they had put on display... Words can't describe.
The gardens were almost in a star shape and there is a big atrium like area in the center. Almost all the branches connect and there are so many different spaces to see with an amazing assortment of plants and flowers. I wish we could've also seen the gardens during the day, but either way, it was amazing. They even have an area for kids to go so that they are involved in the gardens as well.
I highly recommend visiting the gardens. The atmosphere, plants, and serenity of the gardens really will make you feel more alive. I highly recommend visiting Buffalo's Botanical Gardens. You will not regret it!
