“If you're into ghosts, ghost hunting and the paranormal, Iron Island Museum *MUST* be on your bucket list to visit. The museum was a former church and funeral home and purportedly haunted. Although a humble museum in Buffalo, NY, it's world famous with visitors from all around the world. I presume it's popular mainly because the building is haunted. The museum has photos of famous paranormal celebrities that have visited it. Although there are ghost hunts during the evening, I went in the afternoon just to visit and look at the museum's artifacts. Marge was a very gracious host to us and showed us some very interesting artifacts and told us their stories. I found the tragic stories of Tommy and Richard, two children ghosts, quite sad. The hours of the museum are somewhat particular, but it's definitely worth adjusting your travel to the museum's schedule in my opinion, especially if you're seriously interested in ghosts and hauntings. The other paranormal spot not too far away from Iron Island Museum is the Rolling Hills Asylum in Bethany, NY. I highly recommend Iron Island Museum for those who are interested in ghost stories and ghost hunting.”

“Very nice and well kept up. It was fun doing the scavenger hunt and playing checkers in house 9. Also the outside garden is a very nice place that you should not forget when going to the botanical gardens. Overall it's a very good place and a good way to spend an hour and a half.”

“This was an interesting museum, but it was pretty small and did not take much time to work through. I wish that it was a bit larger and less child focused, but that is just my personal preference. Otherwise it was nice and they had demonstrations for the kids to see.”

“Urban exploring area is very limited. They removed the stairs after an incident in 76. Really no where to explore unless you like risky climbing. Wouldnt reccomend to beginners, but I will say the view is amazing”

“An immersion in the past to understand where we stand now. One can appreciate the effort make by those who gave their lives fighting for our freedom. It’s a pleasure to speak with the guides who work in the ships and the submarine. They have an amazing knowledge as of where those ships have been. Kids have lots of fun so does the adults. Anyone visting Buffalo should include a visit to the Naval & Military Park. It worth every moment!”

“LOVED IT HERE! I went with my husband and 2 daughters (ages 2 and 4). We went during preview week and so not ALL of the exhibitions were completely up and running yet however, most were. There were 4 floors of exhibits, each one, more amazing than the next. There was so much to see, do, talk about, learn about, read, play with, color, etc... Because we got there late, we kind of had to rush through and focus only on the areas my kids absolutely loved in order to see everything before they closed. I cannot wait to go back again when we have more time and can actually spend time enjoying each and every part of it! The girls did have a few favorites that I'll mention... 1.) The hospital area (probably one of my favorites as well ????) I can't even describe the cuteness.... I'll share some pictures but just watching the kids take care of their sick little teddy bears in a hospital like setting, so adorable! #2) The farmers market (4th floor, I believe), the kids got to "pick their own vegetables" "milk a cow" "play with chickens, chicks, eggs and their chicken coop (all pretend of course) and then take their food "home" and prepare it in their kitchen! It was really neat. My big kid (aka my husband) loved the sock rink where you could skate around in your socks ???? There is just way too much cool stuff to mention so I'll leave it at that. It really is something that everyone should see (and will love!) and there is something there for everyone to enjoy, you won't be disappointed!”

“Also known as the little building across from The Buffalo History Museum. A large amount of Buffalo history is in this “little” building.”

“It's a beautiful building with a great view of the lake. Unfortunately it was closed and I couldn't get inside. Definitely worth a drive by and pictures”
