We were treated with sympathy and kindness at a time when we felt lost and overwhelmed. Kelly Martin greeted us with empathy as we sat down to prepare my mother’s funeral arrangements. She made the process as easy as possible by offering her experience and compassion. Lakeside Funeral Home has a loving environment. Everything I expressed in remembering my mother was handled in a very professional way. She looked absolutely beautiful. During the viewing, we received many compliments on how everything tied into my mother’s life. The staff went over and above in making sure everything was perfect. I was extremely pleased.

The staff was very professional and kind throughout the process from picking out flowers and cards to releasing the doves. Someone was always available to answer questions and seeing to our needs.

My mom passed away in May of 2019 and we really had no idea what we we’re supposed to do. Candace literally held our hands and walked us through each decision we had to make. When we walked into the funeral home for the viewing, they had put a slot machine by the door with chips that said “In memory of Marylou” with her picture. They had a picture of her above the basket with a couple of paragraphs about her life so if people were coming out of respect to another family member, they really got the sensation of knowing who she was. It couldn’t have been anymore perfect for her...

They brought all our personal thing back to us so we didn’t have to worry about picking it up, along with 2 boxes of thank you cards with her picture on them. Such an amazing touch. They have contacted us in the weeks since just to check in and see how we are dealing with everything and we are invited to participate in a butterfly release in our loved ones honor.

I give them google’s 5 star plus however many I could load on top of that. They were great!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Lakeside went above and beyond for my family to make one of the hardest things we had to do a little easier. We held a wonderful service for my brother there that many people have said was beautiful. Walking into Lakeside you feel and see the comfort of a home setting. There are so many details that we were overcome with emotion to think to handle and plan and everything was handled for us from thank you cards to delivering all of the flowers and memorabilia displayed for our loved one to us the next morning. The staff is wonderful and comforting, they made themselves not only available emotionally but to handle even things that were not necessarily their responsibility. The special touches that Lakeside added such as a life story and a unique remembrance for all of the guests to take home really touched everyone.

The staff at Lakeside were very compassionate and helpful. The personal touches were most appreciated. They made a difficult time a little easier.
