Erie Canalway Trail - Pendleton - Parking

Has a porta potty! Also picnic tables and trail map posted on bulletin board. Short ride to Lockport

So glad this is here! The trail is quiet, clean and offers relaxing views of the canal. It can get busy at times, so be aware of peak hours.

Great walking path but don't go midday on a hot day!

Great place to ride ur bike.along the Erie canal.lots of wildlife.smooth trails.some still under construction. Very dark at nite.so need good lites.some bugs.summertime.lotts of fire bugs .frogs many an fishing.need a license. Avoid bumps if u can.lots of fun.

Paved parking with easy access leading to a nice, newly paved, wide trail leading north and south from this parking area. The southern route is still under construction but will go a long distance when completed. Going north you can stop at the locks in Lockport and watch boats go through from a high vantage point overlooking the canal or close up by walking down a path to the water. My only complaint is not enough places to actually view the canal you are riding next to in this northern section of the trail. I did spot 4 very large wild turkeys strolling along the field while biking there....pretty cool.
