I’ve spent almost every summer of my childhood here, soo many good memories at these cottages with my family!
Fred Ruth and Teresa I hope you are all well. My thoughts and prayers are with you during these times with the June 2023 wildfires, keep safe & keep on ❤️❤️ E Leslie
Loved the cabin, nice. Handicapped accessible except toilet too low and tub no walk in shower. Friendly staff the hillbilly home sted felling. Wildlife plenty for families or just for two.
This place is very comfy and quiet. We stayed in the Birch cabin. The grounds were just starting to open up from all the covid-19 shutdowns. We weren't prepared to cook anything for our supper when we arrived thinking there would be a canteen or small store but as I said things were just getting ready. So we had no supper. But..the owner Ruth came to the rescue with lobster sandwiches and cake. What saint. I recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice quiet get away. 👍😁
I have to give this campground a five out of five stars. I can’t think of anything to remove a point. We have stayed here a couple of times and both times it was in the cottages, but we always camp with a big group who also have campers. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it. The sites are large and the place is well maintained and beautifully kept. Lovely green grass and trees everywhere, and cute little ponds sculpted in the landscape. The cottages are well kept and very comfortable. I posted many photos. The lots for the cottages are also better than any other campground I have stayed in, because they practically give you a full house lot to yourself, so there aren’t any other campers cramped in right beside you. They sell bundles of campfire wood for $7 but they give you a one of the largest bundles I’ve ever seen. Used to other campgrounds, I paid for three bundles up front, and barely used any of it on the first night. The “bundle” comes in a large plastic rectangular box the size of a small treasure chest. There is a pool, a gazebo and common area and all the amenities like laundry, hookup sites and non-hookup sites. We will have no hesitation to return to this campground again.
This is a Mom and Pop owned campground which we love much better than corporately owned camps. It is well maintained, feels safe, swimming pool, laundry, showers, pond. Kids love catching frogs in the pond. Owners and seasonal people are extremely friendly. River nearby great for kayaking or canoeing..Firepits.
