Sites 2 and 3 were more private than most campgrounds, very clean and just the right distance to the washrooms.
The washroom does not have flush toilet, but does have sink with water. It's large and clean.
The grounds are spectacular, great fire pit and you can get the most generous pile (wheel barrow load) of wood I've for your money. Ice was reasonable too. There are bikes you can sign out. The owner was quite responsive when I rang the door bell at the shop.
All in all it was the cleanest and functional campgrounds I've been to.
What a lovely camping experience! The kids had fun biking around, exploring, and making new friends. There is a great energy here! Sites are spacious and private, the bathrooms are one of our favourite features. Communal camp fire seems to always have musical talent around it, and the forest has plenty of hammocks to quietly read and relax.
We had an amazing weekend camping trip here last year! The owners made sure we were well taken care of. It was great to be able to have a private fire in our lot, as well as to be able to visit the community fire pit where to got to meet some other great campers. I give them an A+++. Can't wait for our trip down this year!
We loved our weekend at Lacey Mines campground! Carrie and Andy were such amazing hosts and made sure we were very taken care of. We loved how family friendly it was and all the little extras they have put into the campground especially the walk down to the river! The communal campfire was great and the outdoor movies for the kids were a big hit!
My camping partner and I spent a weekend here with our 3 kids, and we all had a fantastic time. My 7 year old loved the new bike trail they just built, and she ripped around on it for hours! It was a bit steep for the 5&6 year olds that are new riders. Saturday night we had a blast around the fire with the owners and the other campers. Such a relaxing and welcoming environment. We’ll definitely visit again!
