That is what you will find at the Hedley House Inn, Smith's Cove. In a world where destructive forces say everything old must go, how about we just sit back and see what's real.
The view from your own private little deck. Amazing! Second to none. The ambience, the cleanliness, the thoughtful way a kettle, coffee and tea are provided just for your convenience.
Beds and pillows that rival any resort in the nation, that's what luxury is about. Not the fact that the fixtures might take you back a few decades. It's about all the hanging flower baskets that adorn the covered veranda that connects unit upon unit. It's about sitting outside in the rain, knowing everything is going to be okay. That's what Hedley house is about. It's not about getting rid of things, just because they're old, it's about living with the beauty of what was and being sustainable.
Clean, comfortable and beautiful. That's what I see at this wonderful motel.

Kitchenette was well furnished, sheets and towels are new. The building is not new but we'll maintained, lovely arts &crafts touches on screen doors to the rooms. It's a great place to paddle board (Bring your own) theirs a long beach and decks for every room look out on the cove. Dog friendly motel . Very kid/family friendly as well: there's a tire swing, a slide and swing set, volleyball net, BBQs and picnic tables with colorful parasols. And the 🏖️ WoW 😲 The views are stunning and the manager is very attentive to her guests. You can walk over to lazy Bear brewing for a tasting or pizza. It's just out of Digby so it's very convenient for exploring the area. I highly recommend it.

A great spot to take a break, relax and recharge. Everything in the room one could need whether staying in or site-seeing everyday. Danielle made us feel so welcome and cared for -- a real pleasure to stay there. The view of the cove off the deck was absolutely beautiful all day long. The history of Hedley House adds to the whole experience. An old-fashioned rustic motel with a big heart.

Oh this place was amazing. The staff was wonderful and friendly, the rooms so cozy and just had everything you could need or want..but the view from your privy little deck breathtaking.

The place is older so it's not posh or anything but just comfy and perfect and if you get a room with a kitchenet you have everything you need. They even provide all rooms with dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. You get access to BBQs and when done go hand out on the beach below.

Beautiful rooms overlooking the private beach (Smith's cove). All necessary amenities included in the room. Homely atmosphere, family friendly. The cove is great for swimming in during high tide, nice warm waters, safe.
Good breakfast service. Joanne sung a beautiful song for us about fishermen during breakfast and her homemade muffins were excellent. Highly recommend!!
