All the coaches are fantastic and really care about the success and happiness of every single dancer.
I feel lucky to have found Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy when I moved to Halifax. Becky and Laura are an energetic dynamic duo who care deeply about Rising Tide dancers, technique and improvement, Irish culture and the Irish dance community. As a former competitive dancer, they welcomed me to their studio with open arms. They challenge me to push myself and I look forward to going to the studio every week. I have made new friends and even reconnected with old dance friends. Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy is a wonderful school that I am grateful to be a part of.
Rising Tide is BY FAR the best dance school I've ever been to - and I've danced for five schools in three cities and two countries! Becky and Laura's passion for dance is infectious, and their choreography is always a fun challenge. They've encouraged me to do so many things that I would never have been confident enough to do before, from dancing with Heather Rankin at the Rebecca Cohn to performing an Under-the-Sea themed slip jig at a school feis. Because of them, I even travelled to Toronto to compete as part of a celidh team - something I'd always dreamed of doing but thought I was too old for! Rising Tide was the first place I really felt at home after I moved to Halifax, and five years later, I still look forward to Tuesday evenings as one of the highlights of my week. No matter how tired or cranky I am coming in to the studio, I always leave with a smile on my face. I'm grateful to be part of this thriving community, and to still have the opportunity to learn and grow as a dancer despite being well past standard retirement age! I'm counting the days until my son is old enough to join the tots class! - Caitlin, Adult Advanced Class.
Extremely supportive and knowledgeable teachers, best Irish dance school in Nova Scotia! Incredible community environment, wonderful place for learning and growing as a dancer.
Fabulous school with incredibly dedicated teachers. Positive, motivational instruction, great choreography tailored to dancer's strengths. Super fun beginner classes for all ages. Goal-oriented advanced classes pushing limits, and helping dancers to reach their full potential.
