As a widowed Senior Citizen, I grew up on loyalty to friends and Companies. I had been with an Automobile Broker for over 35 years, as the original owner was a personal friend on the family. Each year at renewal, I would check around for a better deal and most of the time, everything was the same or close so I kept my insurance. Over those years, I claimed a couple of windsheilds. This year my rates went up over $95. That was with my combined rental and car rate, as well as a special 17.5 discount and no claims. I felt loyalty would come into play but nothing they could do. One call to CAA and my coverage for my car went DOWN over $75 from Last year. My loyalty is now with CAA.
