Ralph's Downeast Diner Ltd

Stopped here quite by chance.. young lady working all be herself .. she managed to do everything by herself which was quite special considering there were 11 people to wait on.. the food arrived HOT and was excellent .. this young lady was special and i assume she owned the place just based on her service.

Throughly enjoyed the meal here! Fresh fish, very tasty batter with crunch and the chips are crunchy and lightly flavoured as well! Highly recommend if your in the area and want some very nice fish and chips or fish burger at locals prices.

I am Celiac and so I have to be careful not to eat Gluten or anything that has come into contact with Gluten. At Ralph’s Downeast Diner, they had many options for me to choose from.. even a Gluten-free Brownie Sundae !! Incredible. I tried their Beyond Meat Burger and Fries, it was delicious. Usually I am unable to order fries when I am out, as they are typically cooked in the same fryer as products containing gluten... here, they have a separate fryer for their fries! I was very excited eating here :)

I have been on a 11 day motorcycle tour across NS and NB and have eaten in fancy restaurants, hotel restaurants, franchise chains and diners. Hands down this is one of the best places I have eaten in, I would say in the top 3 places. Food is true home cooking, everything we had was delicious. Staff was kind and welcoming. Eat here!!!

Wow what a great chowder and captains platter! So much value for a reasonable price, kids LOVED the fish n chips and clubhouse sandwiches; HUGE sides of delicious fries. If this is lunch, you won’t need supper. Genuinely friendly attentive staff, and fast!! In our top 5 Nova Scotia places to eat. Thank you!!
