“Mediocre at best. Had the butter chicken burrito, which was ok, but nothing to write home about. The staff member who served us did not seem to understand food preparation. If you need to heat chicken in the oven, don't wait until the wrap is ready before starting the chicken. The chicken was standard chicken that they use for everything with a little butter chicken sauce added to it and then heated. The rice to butter chicken ratio was way off. If I wanted a rice burito, that's what I would have ordered. I am pretty sure the chicken just walked through my burrito and kept going. While we were waiting, we noticed a huge pile of doniar meat being cut off the spit and left there. Pretty sure that is not safe food handling procedure. It should probably be refrigerated if it is not going to be used promptly. When you see how much is cut off each time, that pile had been there for a while. I'm hoping that it was an off day when we were there. Based on this experience, I am not sure if I will go back to this location.”

“Had a quick snack at this place. Ordered: meat lover slice, small donair and donair egg rolls My kids enjoyed the meat lovers slice. My wife really enjoyed the donair egg rolls. Removal of one star because the donair wasn’t that good. The pita was thin and soggy. Even with the donair sauce on the side. Would Recommend pizza and donair egg rolls. Also recommend takeout as there were limited seats and their were take out boxes stacked in the front.”

“It blows my mind how quickly people forget it was less than a year ago you would have paid good money for Shanghai noodles mixed in an old boot under a bridge in Dartmouth during the pandemic. You were so grateful to anyone willing to stay open as an essential business to make sure you could fill your face when you were too tired to cook after all that doing nothing, because you were home from work collecting CERB. Now you’re right back to complaining about the chicken in your friend rice being lukewarm while a small business like this one tries to crawl it’s way back from what I can only imagine was the worst 2 years of business they’ve experienced. Show some support. This man has always been kind and friendly when we’ve eaten in and the portions are more than generous for the price. Good Canadian Chinese food, we’ll be back for more!”

“This was my first time discovering a Korean Fried chicken joint in NS, and it did not disappoint. I ordered half King chicken and half Queen for the Asura Chicken deal, and they were both equally delicious. Both were fried really well and the sauces were very tasty. “I don't care for the new market location, but that is not their fault I got the Korean BBQ hotdog, and it exceeded expectations. I wasn't really expecting that level of barbecue flavour from a market stall, but damn it was good. The woman working was so sweet, and I saw her telling fellow market vendors she would deliver to their stall so they wouldn't have to wait around more than twice. I'm happy to support this local business anytime I can as good people making great food”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have ordered from Spice Box. They prepare the food quickly and have incredibly kind and courteous customer service. I have tried butter chicken poutine, chicken tikka poutine, chicken tikka wrap, chicken tikka, chicken and beef kebab, and fried chicken. I loved the chicken tikka wrap due to its smoky flavour. The poutines and kebabs were also delicious. I did not enjoy the fried chicken as I found it to be on the dry side, but that could be a traditional preparation method. I also tried ras malai, but it tasted very close to frozen Kesar ras malai that we always eat, so I was not too fond of it.”
