The Stillwell Freehouse

If you want atmosphere and a nice place to sit down for a work meeting or just a time out with friends, highly recommend! Small, but very solid menu with well prepared and tasty food. The night I went also had a little band come in, they were just the perfect volume and mood for the venue and weekday evening.

Really enjoyed it and I'll be back.

Very cool venue. We sat inside but the patio looked super cool as well.

The staff was very friendly and quick to have our food and drinks ready. The food was delicious.

I will say the drinks are served in glasses that are definitely on the small side for what you pay, but the service, venue, and food make up for it in my opinion.

We arrived in Halifax north shore late on a weekday and worried about not having a reservation anywhere. Stumbled into this spot and were pleasantly surprised!! It has a cozy pub style vibe with gourmet food and excellent craft beer. We ate 4 different apps and dessert and loved every single bite. There was also wonderful live music!

Great choice of beers including UK style cask conditioned ales. A nice patio at the front. The menu is small (5 mains, 8 appetizers) but there are some good options. We will be back for the great beer!

This place grows on me each time I visit. The beer selection is much improved since they first opened and offers a wonderful variety of local brews! 👍 cozy atmosphere and great service. The nachos are unique and a definite must try!👌
