  Getting ready to turn in on our last night at this wonderful and charming B&B. We came upon it quite by accident, as we had been booked at another place. There had been an electrical problem and the manager was able to call and place us here. Dan and Catherine are just so engaging, endearing and great hosts. Our room was just awesome, the breakfasts were excellent, lots of great laughs and help from Dan with the TV and directions. We are so glad our other reservation did not work out. We fell in love with this place right off and will definitely stay here on our next trip to Halifax...to Dan and Catherine, our most excellent and charming hosts...thank you!!!!!!! Linda and Ed

  This was the worst bed and breakfast I’ve stayed at in Canada, so I feel that 3 stars is quite generous. The hosts were friendly but they swore and were judgmental. The property was messy and run down. The first two courses of breakfast were quite good, but we were told it was a three course breakfast. After the second course, the host said no one ever wants the third because people are too full- so she didn’t even offer it. Instead she told stories about Halifax history. The stories were good but the whole time I was wondering if she was joking about not offering the third course. The bed was comfortable, but the rocks on the bed were strange. My husband and I couldn’t wait to get out of the house in the morning because the hosts were strangely abrasive.

  Stayed here for three nights. The first two nights were great. They were very accommodating and breakfast was great. We enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast and visit with out hosts and other guests that stayed there.The third night we had to catch a plane so had to leave early in the morning and there was a huge disturbance through the night that continued on for hours. There was yelling, stuff was being thrown and stomping on the floor all through out the house and nothing was done about it. It felt like this was happening just outside out door too. We got very little if any sleep the last night because of this. Doubt we would ever stay here again because of that.
