    Good spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat downtown. Upstairs there is a fireplace to keep warm and have a few drinks with friends great atmosphere.

    Great selection of beer, decent selection of whiskey. Food is good, not exceptional. Service is prompt, and friendly. The dosnwstairs basement bar is one of my favorite bars in Halifax to hang out at

    Some of the best fish & chips I've ever tasted; the fish tastes like it was caught an hour before, and the batter almost tastes like a pastry. Fantastic fries, too. And all for cheaper than most downtown pubs' fish & chips.

    Awesome atmosphere and history here too, like stepping back in time.

    Food, ambiance and service were very good. Unfortunately the time between ordering and getting your food can be very long. In the order of 30 to 45 minutes. I would definitely go again, but if we were in a rush, would consider somewhere else, or get there really early. My wife loves the Cornish Pasties and I recommend the Ultimate Burger.

    Great food, great atmosphere and awesome service. Highly recommended by a local friend and we could see why. Fresh to order, high quality British pub. Super friendly staff. Beautiful old building, and careful on the stairs.
