Highly recommended! Not just the typical scallops, crab, lobster... but also great home fare, like; meatloaf, Turkey pot pie, and the best mashed potatoes my wife has had! Also a large list of deserts including bread pudding!!!! Very friendly staff, i will go back.
Really disappointed. Recommended as a family diner with homemade everything BUT not even close. Fish tasted like 1960's fish sticks, clams had little or no flavor at all and fries were of the frozen variety. Baked beans were fabulous but scallop potato had little flavor and ham was so thin it was like eating cardboard. Staff, however, were efficient and friendly but can't see us returning any time soon. Damn shame as it could have been a " go to place" for us.
We love this place for its home cooked goodness! The burgers here are just like your mom would have made. The daily specials like lasagna and salad, fishcakes and salad, cabbage roll casserole...all comfort food at a great price. I highly recommend the fish bits - crispy fried haddock. The fish is always fresh. So good. Tip: If you are getting a salad, try their house made blackberry dressing.
We were in at peak time last night.. your waitress for the front half last night was truly amazing.
She is so patient and fast all at once.. koodos to her and the food was awesome
I’m sitting here now and giving this review with pleasure. I saw on Twitter a few weeks ago someone posted the Boloney/bologna burger. I went past all of the other fine looking options on the menu in my quest to try it. I highly recommend this “delicacy”. Now, I’m a bit of a red neck, (aren’t we all a little?) it really is a tasty alternative to say a burger. The soups looked great. I saw someone post on here the fries were crinkle cut and they had never had them in a restaurant as a slight. Not sure where this person grew up or where they were from but many establishments (restaurants) I’ve frequented I’ve true years in my travels have certainly had them and they were good! Gravy seemed to be of the chicken variety and not spectacular but still good. This is the second attempt I’ve made to eat here, last time was so busy with a line waiting for tables so that tells you something right there about a small town restaurant. Go there, try it for yourself, I bet you like it.
